Cirque Du Tulip

Last week I had the pleasure of attending a fun and fabulous event at Lit Kitchen given by the ladies of Tulip Blooming Creations.  It was spectacular!  The flowers were AMAZING, and there was great food, great decor lighting and one fantastic cake.  It seemed like everyone in the Atlanta wedding world was there to enjoy this feast for the senses.  Every wedding I have ever done with Tulip has had incredible flowers and they never cease to amaze me with their talent.  I know it's a lot of pictures, but I couldn't pick! :) Enjoy!

Hot Color Palettes for 2008

The Knot has a great article on their website about fresh color combos for the upcoming wedding season that is full of some great inspirations.  The palettes range from whimsical to cosmopolitan.  I personally love the navy and fuchsia as well as the lemon and celadon combination.  Enjoy!

Aqua and Chartreuse

One word comes to mind when I see these colors:  refreshing!  These colors are so crispy and airy.  Perfect for a spring affair!

Blush and Mauve

This combination of colors is a modern update on the "Blush & Bashful" palette that Shelby introduced us to in Steel Magnolias.  It's very chic, and you have so many options in flowers alone.  Now where do we put the armadillo groom's cake?  :)

Garnet and Tangerine

I can't think of a more appropriate color cue than these for autumn and winter.  Garnet and tangerine make me think of crackling fires and Faberge stemware. Incredibly cozy and decadent!

Navy and Fuchsia

Honestly, this is my favorite color combo of all.  Pink is one of my favorite colors, and a perennial wedding hue, but I love the sophistication the navy adds.  It is elegant and playful at the same time.  Those shoes in Picture #1 are fabulous, and would be a perfect way to get your "something blue".

Lavender, Cream and Chocolate

These colors look as good as they sound!  Chocolate has been a favorite among brides for a few years now, with no signs of fading.  The pairing with lavender and cream makes the combination perfectly posh.

Lemon and Celadon

These colors remind me of Easter eggs and daffodils, so I can't imagine a more appropriate setting than a garden wedding for lemon and celadon.  Very fresh!

Real Wedding: Angela & David

I am have been so busy with weddings lately that I have neglected to put any new pictures up and I am really excited to finally get to post pictures from Angela and David's fab affair! 

Angela and David were married on May 5, 2007, with the ceremony at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and the reception at the Four Seasons Atlanta, both in Midtown.  The bride and groom also took some time between the ceremony and the reception to take a few amazing pictures at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer has such a beautiful sanctuary, and it is always a thrill to return to the Four Seasons.  Gayle Skelton and Brian Ettelman are both such a joy to work with, and we always look forward to an opportunity to work with them!  If you want to have a gorgeous, lush wedding in Atlanta, then look no further than the Four Seasons.

David and Angela had one of the most elegant and intimate weddings that I have had the pleasure to be a part of, and everything that evening came together so perfectly!  Everything about the wedding was luxurious, from the four course dinner featuring Gulf snapper, Orzo risotto and wedding cake filled with Tahitian vanilla custard and fresh berries to the incredible cherry blossom centerpieces created by Carla Duncan of On Occasions of Atlanta.  With just under 80 guests, the bride and groom had a wonderfully personal and private event.

Angela and David had impeccable taste and were a dream to work with.  What wedding planner could ask for more? :)  Best wishes to them as they start their lives as Mr. & Mrs!

The Fall/Winter 2007 edition of Grace Ormond Wedding Style magazine is on the newsstands, and always, it does not disappoint!  I must say that I have always loved Grace Ormond's magazine; it is always filled with incredible ideas and phenomenal photography.  As a side note, I must say that one of the best thrills of my career was being included in the 2006/2007 Grace Ormond Platinum List.  Few magazines have the the caliber of events that Wedding Style does, and they are always an inspiration.

This issue has a fabulous layout on tabletop decor.  I do apologize for the quality of the scans, but truly, the pictures speak for themselves!  There are more pictres available on their website.

Sweet Find: Wedding Weather Planner

I have to admit that one of my favorite tools for planning is The Weather Channel's Wedding Weather Planner.  It is filled with so much helpful information!  You can create your own wedding planner page with your upcoming wedding date, and The Weather Channel will send you updates on the weather as the day gets closer.  It has archives of what the weather was on your particular date for last 3 years, as well as a sunset calculator so you can plan to get those last minute outdoor shots over in Piedmont Park!  They can even send rain alerts to your mobile phone if you would like!  It's just fabulous for every bride, but can be a blessing for those with an outdoor wedding.  They have other fun features on the website, such a section covering what flowers are in season for your wedding, a wedding weather FAQ section, and an area that covers international weather for honeymoon planning or destination weddings.  Definitely worth checking out!
